Beginners Classes

GETTING STARTED

We offer several options for beginners. Feel free to contact us if you are unsure which class would be best for you.

INTRODUCTORY COURSE

This course is specially designed to introduce complete beginners to Parivartan Yoga.
We will break the movements down step-by-step, gradually including more poses week by week.
We will look at different versions of every pose & movement, so that each person can find what works for them individually.
It is ideal for those with absolutely no previous yoga experience, and also for those who have studied other styles of yoga who would like to build a solid foundation in this system.

Day/time: Tues 8pm

ALL LEVEL CLASSES

It is absolutely fine to join All Level classes as a complete beginner if the day/time suits you better.
These are more flowing and continuous, while still working at your own pace.

Day/time:

Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs 6.15pm / Mon & Weds 8pm / Thurs 9.45am

YOGA & RELAXATION

These classes emphasise the relaxation & stress management benefits of the yoga. They are ideal for complete beginners, and also for those with previous experience who are looking for a gentler, restorative class.

Day/time: Sun 6.30pm

ONE TO ONE

This can be a great way to get started. Many people take this option for a few lessons before joining regular classes.

 

WHAT TO WEAR

LOOSE CLOTHING IS BEST!

Wear loose comfortable clothing. T shirt & jogging bottoms are ideal.

It can be good to wear layers (vest, T shirt, sweatshirt) for when you warm up/cool down

Bare feet are best.

MATS

Bring a yoga mat if you have one, or a large towel is fine at first.

We do sell yoga mats if you prefer to buy a mat. They are top quality mats which we sell at a discounted price to our students.
