Getting Started
We offer several types of classes suitable for those new to The Yoga Place:
- Parivartana
(dynamic) Yoga introductory course: Wednesday 6.30-7.45pm.
This course is specially designed to introduce complete beginners to Parivartana Yoga. The course will build progressively through the fundamental principles, postures, breathing techniques and sequences of this yoga. It is suitable for those with no previous yoga experience, and for those who have studied other styles of yoga.
Next introductory course starts August 4th 2010, Weds 6.30-7.45pm.
6 week course £39. Limited spaces are available, advance booking is essential.
- Parivartana (dynamic) all level classes.
If you are unable to make the Wednesday introductory course it is fine to attend All Level classes without having attended the introductory course. However because the introductory course has been specially designed with beginners in mind, it is worth trying to come for an introductory block if possible before attending All Level classes.
All Level classes are more flowing than the intro course, and move from pose to pose in a continual graceful sequence.

- Yoga and Relaxation.
Soothing and relaxing, ideal for stress management and gentle exercise. These classes are suitable for: complete beginners / people with mobility issues / pregnancy / those participating in active sports looking for a contrast to their other activities. Classes consist of 40 minutes gentle stretching & breathing exercises, followed by a 20 minute deeply relaxing guided meditation.
You don’t need to be fit or flexible to start this yoga, and it is suitable for all ages & abilities.
Classes are held in West Bridgford, and at Nottingham Tennis Centre. Click timetable for details and please contact us for the next start date.

Select the course that you are interested in, and contact us for the next start date & availability. Courses are usually booked in short blocks of 6 or 7 weeks. Classes run throughout the year, with a one or two week break between blocks. (If you are unable to make a full block, individual arrangements can be made, please contact us for details).
